Maria M. Mosqueda, LMFT
California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists
¡Bienvenidos! I am a bilingual, bicultural psychotherapist, originally from Mexico. My interest in working with youth began while attending Ohlone Community College in Fremont and continued through undergraduate school at UC Santa Cruz where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I later completed my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now Sofia University) with a Specialization in Creative Expression. I became licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2014.
I have accumulated nearly 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and cultural backgrounds. My experience as a psychotherapist began in 2008 and includes working in a variety of settings that range from adolescent residential facilities, juvenile correction facilities, home and community based, school based, and adolescent substance abuse programs. Most of my experience as a psychotherapist includes working with trauma and the aftermath of experiencing trauma.
I am trained in Transpersonal Psychology which allows me to provide holistic treatment that incorporates mind, body, and soul. Maybe you just need support in planning for your future or managing daily life stress.
